Post [Official] Firmware_Playon!HD2_PV73700_v9.5.3.r5440
Hello Playon!HD2 owners!

We are happy to announce our new official firmware.
Below you will find links to download this new firmware together with the change log and instructions on how to install this firmware.

We have turned off 'Setup>System>Auto Scan' by default. This means that the main menu 'Movie/Music/Photo' selection will not be accessible until this function has been turned on and scanned your local storage. You can use 'Files Manager' or the new 'Shortcuts' for quick access of your files. We have done this change due to the possibility of adding 'Shortcuts' and to save resources of the player for those who don't want to have this function on.

2. Insert the USB-stick to your player.
3. Shutdown the player.
4. Press and hold down the power button in front of the player for 15 seconds.
5. Your player will restart and install the new firmware.

System update method:
1. Download and extract the .zip file into the root folder of a USB-stick. Make sure the USB-stick is formatted to FAT32.
2. Insert the USB-stick to your player.
3. Go to Setup>Misc>USB Upgrade and press 'Enter' on your remote control to confirm.
4. Your player will restart and install the new firmware.

!!DO NOT POWER OFF THE UNIT WHILE FLASHING! THIS MIGHT CAUSE DAMAGE AND RESULT IN DEFECT HARDWARE!

Can you increase the number of characters for the movie title on the main index page? The space on the middle is too long yet can hold only few.

Make sure to enable subtitle feature under Setup->Misc->Subtitle

Noticed that this feature will default to 'off' evrytime ACR is restarted. Can you make it permanent just like the other subtitle features i.e size, position, and color?

Since r5311 during the film there is a problem with the subtitle toolbar.
When I press the subtitle button on the remote controller and want to choose the options (size, on/off, colour) there isn't the frame (only flash for a second) as it was in the last firms.

Does it appear at anyone?

Whenever I moved file from one folder to another, the system non-stop rebooting? Please double check this bug! Didn't seen this in previos version.

Secondly, how to make search easy if I have 500 movies in one hardisk so no need to scroll all over again and again in file manager?

Continue the second question, after found two movies duplicated in that 500 movies, and deleted one of them, after deleted it go back to begining of the 500 movies instead of last position so no need for me to scroll down one by one again at the begining?

It was the reboot looping when i moved a file from one folder to another, which started all my problems with the last firmware. This is disconcerting indeed.

The initial firmware is still the most stable......comical.
