I never had problems with that. On none of the earlier firms... What is not working fine with your setup then?

Since I have Win 7 64 bit with USB 3.0 Win likes to format the HDD of AC Ryan and says the HDD is incorrect. I have lost one HDD now I have a new one and the same problem is comming up. I only formatted the new and old HDD in AC Ryan, because it need the structure of AC ryan. If I would format the HDD with WIN 7, I think AC Ryan will not find the HDD.

My Win7 asks me if I want to scan the HDD when I attach it to my laptop, but if I choose not to, nothing is wrong. If I do scan the HDD for faults, there is no problem either, so I still don't know what you are talking about. Maybe the HDD is faulty?

My WIN 7 64 bit will not accept the HDD from AC Ryan, if I don't format it with WIN, so I don't have access with USB 3.0!! Over SAMBA everything is o.k, but very slow.

Hello,

AC Ryan don't produce hard drives. If you bought a Playon!HD 2 with a hard drive inside it, it probably has a different brand.

If you initially formatted the internal hard drive inside the Playon!HD 2, then what you say should work, as the Playon!HD 2 system will format the hard drive to NTFS, same as default Windows 7 file system.

If you plug in the Playon!HD 2 using USB-slave (blue cable) to your Windows 7, and if it does not pick up the internal hard drive? It's either A) Your PC -> USB host/driver issue. B) The USB-slave port on the Playon!HD 2 or cables.

If you have another PC to test this on, then please try the same, and if same issue? Then you might have a faulty USB-slave port.

If you don't have another PC, you can take out the internal hard drive from the Playon!HD 2, and use a docking station or plug in directly to your PC's SATA port. If this works? Then it's a defected USB-slave port on the Playon!HD 2, and you can use your warranty to get this fixed with your re-seller.

Br,

Thanks a lot michael, I will try this with my Docking Station with USB 3, which up to now worked very fine with my laptop. Now according your advices I will find out the problem. I am very busy this week incl. weekend, so on Monday or Thuesday I will go on and give you my feedback then.

Br.

New 5 th of Dec. with the Docking Station all runs quick and I copied lots of data without problems. So I have still to find out, whether it is the cabel or the USB 3.0 port on AC Ryan. Yesterday I copied wia LAN very very slow.
BR. aduga

Status 11.12.2011:
I tried everything: Put the HDD off the unit into a USB 3.0 Dockingstation again with the same USB 3.0 cabel I used with the AC Ryan. Everything went wonderfull and quick.I did the HDD again in AC Ryan, connected to the Laptop with USB 3.0 and the screen appeared WIN have to format the HDD. HDD back in Dockingstation, everything o.k. So it is clear, AC Ryan will not work as it should. Should I go to my dealer again, who once gave me a new HDD for the Ryan, which the Ryan destroyed. I can't go to him telling him now it's the Unit I bought also by him. That hours and hours, days and nights of getting back all datas. Please Ryan Stuff send me a new one, which I will test a.s.a.p. when I get the new one and sending the old one to you directly. Now we know that all the trouble came from the unit.

BR

Hi all and supporting team.

Just installed the Beta version r6629 POHD2, But Lots of thing need to be Improve.

1. System slow
2. Freezes while playing radio(not user friendly takes so much time to play ) also doesn't save the links of the downloaded file in Hdd on custom radio searching.
3. Also while copying file from system by network 2gb file = 30-40 minutes.
4. UI is bit fast then previous version, not in all condition Especially while returning to main Menu .
Need to Force Restart.(also in Prev Version).
5. In Transmission files get auto deleted . Also Please try to give a option in transmission setting
( Like max limit and slow limit ). So that no need switching on Pc to control this.
6. Hangs while watching 13gb video file and downloading torrent simultaneously.
Finally
Impressed seeing website Ads forced to buy. Depressed after buying it.
Please u sort out all the Issue n freezing problem make Your Product Worth Buying IT.

Overall : Product full of Bug n Bugs. :( :( :( :(

scrolling through my movie files let the GUI hangs (under movies as via Bestandsbeheer). every scroll gives a extra sort of scanline in top of the image.

speed is little beter but not that much. overall it isn't that beter for me. i will install it again when i have time maybe it improve the perfomance.

how is the perfomance by other users wgen copy a file over LAN via ethernet speeds (100mbit)?

Hey everyone,

The Thumbnail view issue is reproduced and reported as a new bug for this firmware.

Thanks for the feedback, and sorry for not having the option to re-size or add pictures as files to your posts.
