One thing I'm please to see is the digital output does not refresh any more when changing tracks (when listerning to music)! this is much better! Before i kept missing the first second of the track as my processor was waiting to see what stream was coming in! - It now just stays 44.1K unless I'm playing a video file or something, where it will switch accordingly.

I was hoping this firmware would fix my USB 3,0 problem, when moving a blue ray folder from my pc to the player, 3 out of 5 times it hangs during the transfer.
It did not!
And it is a problem of the Ryan, other USB 3.0 stuff like a dockinstation, doesn't have this problem.

This has not been reported and we are not experiencing the same when we use the USB 3.0 to transfer files. Have you checked/scanned your hard drive with system tools in Windows? What hard drive model to you use, and what are your average transfer speeds while using the USB 3.0 on Playon!HD 2? Also check if you have the latest drivers for your USB 3.0 controller in your PC.

could you explain what is known to be the problem with auto scanning?

I have flashed the unit several times now and still I'm having problems when auto scan is on (did not use to on previous version).

Today I tried the album, year and artist search and it still says "data base not ready". So decided to search... I searched for Akon (a artist i know is there) it found about 18 tracks (not all - but i was impressed) - maybe the auto scan hasn't finished yet although its been left for hours!)

Half way through listening to the tracks it had found the unit crashed for no reason and went into the restart loop! I kept pushing set up as it was coming on and turned off the auto scan and clear history is now set to on.

The unit seems ok now! but have noticed when the auto scan is on you cant touch any buttons on remote let alone try and navigate until the auto scan circle appears!

I'm also starting to get the system file check warning again! I have scanned the HDD several times now so fairly confident there are no errors on the HDD

This is really starting to get annoying now! - PLEASE HELP!

The auto scan is not working like it should be.

You can for now disable it in the setup menu till a newer fw is released.

Fw is instable here..... Install ok, HDD already formatted for previous firmware version... also ok.

HDD not always found, sometimes its found and sometimes not. HDD connected ok.... no clue whats wrong.

After stopping a movie (stop play), the ACR reboots. File format doesn't matter... avi, dvd, mkv, it reboots everytime whenever the movie is stopped.

Any idea?

your reboot problem has been reported by other users in the Mini2 forum. It seems like if there are movie thumbnails/posters in your movie folder, then the POHD will reboot if you press stop.
I hope this one will be fixed in the next release because it s very annoyed!

I have used the standard tools of windows.
All drivers are up to date.
I'am using a Sharkoon usb 3.0 controller with a Trust USB 3.0 hub.
The average speed is about 90MB/s.
The HD2 came with a 1TB, i believe it's a Samsung.

So, a fix would be to erase / rename all thumbs..... Guess going back to the previous firmware version and wait for the fix is a lot quicker. Irritating issue, seems to me ACR testing quality fails again.

ACR how long do you think it will be till we see a fix for the HDD scanning? mine is now turned off, but this means you cant use the menus. you have to go to file manager to navigate!

regarding the scanning, would it not be better for it to do an scan whenever its disconnected from usb 3 or when media is added? there is no need for it to attempt scanning all the time! onces its built the data base it should stop, maybe you could have an option to allow scanning once a month or some sort of forced scan?
