its the only fix as it clearly states in initial post. If you don't use youtube you don't need to download this or comment here.
Based on 7716 with new ntfs driver as well.

br,

Brilliant customer serivce that is. It's a forum where people can comment on topics. If you don't like the comments then don't release low priority fixes when the player itself is about as stable as a two legged kitten.

When we release a beta firmware we want feedback on the fixes or changes. If the threads get cluttered with in this case off topic comments and suggestions, it will be harder to filter out what the topic is actually about.

If you have other questions or queries, please make a new thread of contact us directly with email or phone.

Thanks for understanding!

Best regards,

Mikael,

With respect, I asked you to add a list of current bugs still outstanding and what needs to be fixed still on each release so what you have just indicated above doesn't happen.

Then people wouldn't post comments or repost the same issues.

Also, we need some kind of update as to when this major bug of unable to copy files to the PlayonHD2 using via USB with it rebooting is going to be resolved?

There have been 1039 builds since 7716, and not once fixing or attempting to fix the issue, or more importantly giving feedback to its customer user base as to your results and findings.

Please post something. We deserve feedback if nothing else.

Hello adamforeman,

Thanks for your feedback and input.
First, I'm with AC Ryan support team and we don't have developer presence in our forums and therefore I can't really give answers outside the support related questions. We do naturally forward feedback and important questions when needed.

When it comes to released bug lists, this has been asked and declined many times before by my management. I'm not able to help you further with this.

The bug you mention with the USB / GUI copy crash was reported and reproduced by myself 1x year ago. This is currently in our SDK manufacturers hands..

I will check the status on this particular issue again and update if there are any news regarding this.

Best regards,

Thank you for your honesty. You mention one of the 1 year critical bug.
To all the customers with files deletion, file system's corruption just a simple answer :
Acryan can't do anything (sdk blah blah) right now but will try to report to their "developer's team" and in 6 months your media player is discontinued, "we can't do anything due to hardware and sdk limitations". Then, all topics locked.
Never, never, never, never, ACrap again. Bad advertiments will follow with all the unhappy users anyway. Expect real bad web reputation (so less money ;) ) , and maybe spams and so on from the customers you fooled...

I think people are getting genuinely worried. The older Mini1 and HD1 have been discontinued without any warning, but the current bugs are present in the Mini2 and HD2 firmwares as well. At the same time AC Ryan is busy porting the Veolo to Android 4, the Tab 7 needs to be worked on and several other gadgets are introduced in the market. Even before Android 4 and Tab 7 firmware support was mediocre at best and now there is even more on your plate! At least make something like a top 5 bug list and give regular updates or customers will think their new Mini2/HD2 will get no support as well. Your reputation is shaky now, that's no good foundation for new products.

If it's been with Realtek for 1+ year then why the hell aren't you phoning them everyday until they do something? I imagine, reading between the lines, that Realtek have come back to you already and said 'It's your software' but to push the blame away from yourselves you say every issue is because of 'there' SDK or hardware limitations. Well why didn't you look into the hardware before you blooming built it? Surely there has to be some QA? Why not get the people who did the QA and ask them what went wrong? How could they have missed some massive things such as the massive limitation with the suppossed 1Gb connection? The massive amounts of bugs (hell sometimes I can't even switch the player on - that's a pretty fundemental bug).

By the way I am commenting on the topic - the most massive, un-remarkable release I've seen in a good while.

Why the hell are you on this forum responding to posts if you can't provide any information? Surely if you're from there support team then why aren't you better informed? You replicate a bug and then wait a year?????!??

In most peoples jobs its about priorities. Number one priority of anything new, be it a car, computer, operating system, TV, printer, etc. is stability. It's about making the device fit for purpose. Personally I think AC Ryan should be giving free upgrades or even downgrades to a stable player. Hell I'd take the original PlayOn over the HD2 at the moment because I know I can download modified firmware for it.

If you look at the forums you'll see a lot of unhappy customers or should I say ex-customers. Never will I trust AC Ryan again. At a time when more and more people are buying media centres your reputation must be shattered. I'm sorry for the post but I can't believe how angry it makes me to come on these forums and read how, in over a year, nothing has been done to fix it and the couldn't care less attitude.

M4cc45,

I'm not able to go into these kind of discussions. I do get your point, just simply impossible for me to go be able to represent the company with facts as I don't have them more than from support point of view. I will help those that can be helped and report issues that need to be reported. Please feel free to send a email to our support and we will naturally forward this to the right departments.

However, if you can't turn on your player? That does not sound like a normal issue we are aware of. Perhaps you have a faulty unit? In this case please contact our support with details and perhaps you actually have a faulty unit.

Best regards,
