I have attached a bluetooth dongle into the machine but the usual Froyo settings menu are hidden away therefore I don't know if bluetooth is working or not. Can I use a bluetooth dongle with the system, if yes how can I pair my devices?

You can download and install the bluetooth app, so that you can pair a device to Veolo. Here is an example of the app -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.curvefish.widgets.bluetoothonoff&feature=search_result

Bluetooth dongle works. i was able to see veolo through my phone's Bluetooth. However without the setup menu, i had difficulty pairing other device. Plese bring back standard android Bluetooth setup menu.

You can pair a device using the Veolo too. The application support device searching, after you created/ added the BT widget you can click the right edge of the icon to launch the its setting.
