Post Theatre folder delete
I am accessing my PlayonHD2 internal hard drive over the network - as such I can view the .Theatre folder by selecting "show hidden files and folders" in Windows.

I just completely reorganised all my music (well iTunes did) on the internal hard drive so I want to rebuild the PlayonHD2 database completely.

Can I just delete the .Theatre folder from the root directory over the network and then reboot the player and it will rescan?

Thanks

You may delete the .Theater folder indeed. I recommend that you connect your Playon to your PC with the USB cable, delete the .Theater folder and then execute an error check (CHKDSK) of the disk.
After booting your Playon in the normal way again, the .Theater folder will be created automatically, even without scanning your disk.

Thx for the quick reply

Can't really plug in a USB at the moment - I'm actually doing this remotely via Teamviewer on a friends PlayonHD2...

Does it matter if I do it over the network? They were'nt experiencing errors - just want to rebuild the database

Don't worry - I got them to clear history on the PlayonHD2 while I watched the theatre folder over the network and that did the same thing - the directory disappeared (deleted) and a new one was created when it rebooted
