I tried to connect my PlayOn (using an ac ryan dongle) to my wifi network which is protected by a WPA2 security type. I was not able to do that, however if i changed the security to WEP I was able to connect with no problems. Is this a known issue?
For best optimal Wireless N speeds on all our players you need to use: WPA2-AES
* Anything else will fallback to 54Mbits/sec
* - 802.11g has a theoretical speed maximum of 54 Mbits/sec, with a typical transfer rate of around 23 Mbits/sec (2.5 MB/sec) with an ideal signal.
- 802.11n has a theoretical speed maximum of 300 Mbits/sec, with a typical transfer rate of around 74 Mbits/sec (9.25 MB/sec) with an ideal signal.
If you loose your Wifi signal often you might have to use WPA as network security protocoll, then you will be forced to have '54Mbits/sec'.

Re: PlayOn and WAP2 security
Problem solved.
I'm not sure what i did to solve it, but: 1. Do not use numeric 0 in the password. 2. There seem to be a cache with respect to the network's name. After changing my network's name and changing the password, the playOn was able to connect perfectly (via 802.11n and WPA2-PSK security)
You solved it faster than I could reply. Or was your question premature?
Anyway problem solved. Topic closed.
