Today I tried various apps to handle streaming from my NAS and my wife's Windows Media Player - but I found many of the APPS would not work because they require that you are in Wifi mode.

I have the Veolo connected via GB LAN to the router.

Have searched for this, but have seen other people trying to trick it to think their android phones was running Wifi, when on 3G, as many apps require that you are on Wifi, but did not find a solution...

+1 I was about to ask the same thing, because I get one of my favorite apps (google music) not propper working of the wlan issue.

this is not possible as far as i know. If anybody finds a workaround please feel free to share .

Basically most Android developers haven't thought about this yet and we can only hope that the guys will update their apps with the according options asap. If you have such an app that is only working on WIFI you could try contacting the developer and check if they can update their app.
