Various Issues & Feature request
When playing with the HD2 tonight I ran into some issues:
At boot:Black screen for 10-30 seconds (probably because of the auto-scan of the 2TB HDD), it even looks like it hangs.
Tip: Maybe a message like "Scanning HDD for new content.. Please wait, this could take some time.."
Settings menu:Wrong Tiptool info; it says you need to use << and >> for changing categeories, in fact you need to
use the chapter buttons.
Poor response of the remote:I don't know if it's the remote or the HD2 itself, but after giving a command through the remote it
takes about 1 second for the HD2 to respond and execute the given command.
YouTube:After login to YouTube and accessing my 'YouTube Profile page' where I can view My Videos or Favorites it gives me a NETWORK_CONGESTION when selecting an option.
ShoutCast:When downloading and processing the stationlist it 'hung' for about 2 minutes before it even responded.
Also several times the 'list' was empty, this occurred in the 'Stations' section and the 'Genres' section.
"Auto"-scanIt seems like auto-scan only scans at boot. Today at 14:18 (2:18 PM) I added a video on the internal HDD, went shopping (since the upload takes like 30 minutes because of the "gigabit" Ethernet connection

) and when I returned after about 4 hours the new file wasn't listed in the Movie/Video section.
It should've had enough time to re-index the entire HDD (2TB) in the time I was out, maybe a scan every hour or when idle should be implemented?! Since 'auto'-scan isn't living up to it's name...
Maybe it does work, but isn't indexing subdirectories (which it definitely should!).......
Feature requestI use a folder structure like:
Code:
Films (../hdd1/movies/Films)
|- Animatie (../hdd1/movies/Films/Animatie)
Series (../hdd1/movies/Series)
|- Greys Anatomy (../hdd1/movies/Series/Greys Anatomy)
|- House M.D. (../hdd1/movies/Series/House M.D.)
|- Private Practice (../hdd1/movies/Series/Private Practice)
But in the Movies/Video section ALL videos are displayed in one big list.
Is it possible to add an option to use the Folder names as a 'Filter' of some sort?
So when I select the Movie/Video option in the main menu it will automatically display "Films" and "Series" and I will be able to navigate through the subdirectories?
