Hi,

I am using the new Firmware_PV73700_v9.5.3.r7317 and have tried the method mentioned above but I am not able to find:
1. BT setup page in network,
2. bittorrent menu (the player notified that torrent was added but I was not able to find the file or the said bittorrent menu).

Would be great if anyone can upload some screenshots to help us through.

What about magnet links?

- First on the player goto SETUP -> NETWORK -> Transmission and switch it 'on' (needs LAN connection!)
- note down the IP address mentioned when turning it on (the one of your player)
- on your PC/Laptop open a browser window and enter: 'ipaddress:9091' i.e. '192.168.0.5:9091'

You are now on the transmission setup page where you can add/remove/manage your torrents.

hi there, i am having some issues with BT aswell. I copied a .torrent file from my pc to the hdd on the playon hd2 device. However when I browsed to the folder where I copied the file using file manager, it showed as empty!. If the check the same folder using a pc, I can see the torrent file. Which file extension the player recognize.?? I also tried the transmission web interface but nothing happens..Any ideas???

There are now changes in the way HD2 handle torrent file, specially if your using firmware 5440 and 7317. The player file browser currently can only recognize media files such as video, image and music format.

A torrent file is only possible to be added by using PC via a network connection to the PlayON.

- On your PC web browser type http://PlayerIPAddress:9091 (ex. http://192.168.xx.x:9091) then hit enter key.
- The Player transmission page will display on your PC screen and on the upper left corner click Add.
- Browse for the file (.torrent) you previously saved on your PC or any directory.
- Click download and the file will be added on the transmission webpage and the downloading will start any moment.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried to upload a torrent using web interface as per your instructions. Waited for 30minutes but download didnt start. I am starting to think that unit is faulty!

The seeds count is the most important part is using torrent, plus your internet speed. You can try to put here the link so that we can try on our side.

Apparently just like everyone else i am also facing issues downloading torrent via my HD2.

Firstly I dont see the BT option in the network setup option. Secondly i tried via the add route and the page does not open. Yes I did type the IP address correct in the browser.

However i tried playing the torrent file and it did say torrent added but nothing seems to be happ!!

On the firmware side I have the latest one just downloaded the latest one yesterday and flashed the HD2. So have the latest version etc.

Do lemme know how to resolve this ??
