Hi Experts-

Am having a problem with my acryan hd2 (with latest feb 2012 firmware installed).

My device is running a 1TB hdd, almost fully used at 990gb with content in mixture of raw/flac/mkv/avi etc.

The device had been working fine for few months now but recently rather bored of the blank main screen (without listing of recent play and content) i decided to scan the device to populate it.

However, after selecting the "scan once" option in setup (with the circle icon showing 'busy') the device was interupted by a power trip which causes the box to go off. By the time the power was on and i reboot the acryan again (using either remote or poer button), it will show the splash screen and proceed into the main menu (showing option of shortcut, movies, music etc) but the device just freeze and stop responding there after (not responding to both the remote and the on/off button), letting it sit for a long time does not help either.

I've since tried to reflash the firmware but it did not help either- can you advice on what can i do to get the acryan working again? (maybe connecting it to a computer through cable and delete some corrupted files?)

Hi Shin,

It could be that the database created by the player is corrupted when your power went out. Please connect the Playon!HD 2 to your PC, and manually delete the .Theater folder. Then connect the Playon!HD 2 back to your TV and hopefully you can get in to the main menu and the scanning will has to be redone.
