 Timeshift vs. channel changing
Hello everyone,
I am new to the timeshift function and I have some problems about usability. The idea of timeshifting is clear: I can "pause" the TV channel and keep on watching it later, for example if I want to go to the kitchen to get a drink, without loosing anything of the movie.
What makes me surprised is, that it seems, that I can not switch the channel, without loosing the recorded part. Let's say I am watching channel A and press the timeshift key and go away from TV for 10 minutes. After coming back I watch 2 minutes again channel A and decide to switch to another channel B. But when I then go back to channel A, I will see the present TV broadcast. The 8 minutes I haven't seen yet are lost.
So with timeshift I am stuck with that channel? How do you use the timeshift function? Should I bet record the channel and when coming back watch the (still recording) file? Or is there some error I am doing while using this function?

 Re: Timeshift vs. channel changing
Your first assumption is correct. But this feature can only work while you are tuned in to the particular channel where you chose to used timeshift, as changing channel will also be the same command as pressing stop button for canceling it. Additionally, the device cannot do timeshift with two different channel at the same time as it will prioritize the current channel you're viewing. You might notice that the result is different from recording, as you can record two channel at the same time or record one while watching another channel. But these two features are different. Sorry for any inconvenience.
