maximum capacity of internal hard drive Playon HD2?
Hi all,
I heard that the internal hard drive capacity supported by Playon HD2 might soon be increased to 3TB. Is this correct? If so any idea when?
I need to buy an internal hard drive with more space as my 1TB external hard drive currently connected is fast filling up, but will wait and get a 3TB internal rather than 2TB if the wait isnt long.
Thanks! Will

Re: maximum capacity of internal hard drive Playon HD2?
hi,
officially we do support HDD's with a capacity up to 2tb. Due to the nature of the chipset + hdd controller 3tb drives will also work. However there are a few things to keep in mind when using those. First of all you will most likely need to format them twice within the player before it will create the correct partition layout. If you are planning on hooking it up to your windows machine via the usb cable please check the attached guide / .pdf document to make it work with windows.
We have tested this here for example with a Hitachi Desktar Drive with 3tb.
hope this helps, if you have any questions please do let us know.
br,
