Hey everyone.

I was wondering... does anyone know how or if its possible to connect to the players upnp from a remote location. eg. i want to be able to access all my media when I am at my partners house, she is not on my local network.

I have read a little bit into dyndns and this seems like the solution but all the guides i have come across are for WHS (windows home server) and for remote desktopping.

All i want is to be able to stream my media from my hd2 through my router to my partners router and to a computer with a upnp renderer like XBMC.

i would be extremely grateful and very interested to hear any ideas or solutions.

Your question is not specific to the Playon. In fact you want a VPN (virtual private network) for your and your girlfriend's location. I only know that VPNs exist, but I never established one myself. So I recommend some further reading and looking at your routers' settings. I further do not know if a VPN is suitable to use your Playon at another location, because you will be dependent on internet speed.
