Hey there A.C Ryan forum, this is my first post/question so apologies if someone has already asked this question...if they have can someone please post a link to that thread.
I have just bought the stunningly attractive playon hd2. I absalutly love it...but it did not come with a manual...im quite techy so am not struggling too much even though the device isnt exactly what you would call plug and play. how ever i am a product designer and would like to say how beautiful and symplistic the aesthetics of the box itself and how well the remote control has been layed out,
My question is...can you have subfolders in the movies folder....I have lots of series and they fill the movies folder making it hard to find films without the search function. What i want to do is to have a series of sub folders with different catagories under my movies folder. lets say one for movies, one for documetrys, cartoons etc. and then inside those folders have more subfolders for the season number.
I have placed all the files into these folders already and put them onto the hd2. It has all the subfolders in the file manager but not the movies folder.
sorry for misspellings. Had to write this fast as i am currently at work
Thanks
Will Brett
First of all thanks for your interest. A manual can be downloaded here:
http://www.acryan.com/downloads/manuals ... Manual.pdfYou are the moment using the scanning feature of the player which you access by going into 'movies' from the home screen.
It's not possible to have a different structure there. I would recommend you to make use instead of shortcuts instead. This feature is included in the newest firmware so you need to update your player if you haven't done so already. Check this post for a how-to:
viewtopic.php?f=168&t=15605If you now use Files Manager to browse to your series you can mark them and press 'menu' button to choose 'add to shortcuts'. This folder will than be accessible through the 'shortcuts' option from home-screen. So it's working similar but different

. This way you keep your folder structure and still have the comfort of accessing your files/folder from the main menu without having to browse through complicated menu structures.
I hope this helps & do let us know if you have any questions.
best regards,
