unfortunately bbciplayer will not work - a browser interface is integrated though. You can goto Facebook for example and press '1' on remote control. With the green button you can get the address bar and with the yellow the text console.
As for the proxy option i can forward this to our developers as i do not know if this would be possible since we work around the SDK provided by Realtek.
