 DLAN problem
Hello I have ver. v7.4.4.r7317 installed on my system. The problem is that i cant access to the PLAYON HD by DLAN from my computer or/and from my cell phone GALAXY S2. i can see the PLAYON HD on my computr and ON my cell phone but i can't connect it with DLAN. It is possible to me to connect my cell phone to the computer and on the other way so the problem is defiantly at th PLAYON HD. At the past it was OK (didn't work great but it worked). DLAN is enable on the PLAYON HD.
What can be the problem?
Thank you Eagle

 Re: DLAN problem
Hi, first of all it would be nice if you could explain what exactly you are trying to do. Do note that the Playon doesn't have a built-in UPnP Server but only acts as a DLNA DMR (renderer). This means you can push movies, photos and music TO the player but not the other way around. On the Samsung Galaxy you can try to use iMediashare for example. There's a free version available on the Android market so you can try it out. On the computer you can check also this little how-to: viewtopic.php?f=41&t=15114br,

 Re: DLAN problem
Hello Arne
Thank you for your answer. As i say at the past it's worked, i could stream video, pictures and music from my compute to the PLAYONHD. I do see the "Realtek Embedded UPnP Render(PLAYONHD)" at My Network on my computer and when i open the media player i can choose to stream stuff to it ,but then i get an error message that say there is a problem. the same error i see on my cell phone. I attached a print screen of the error.
Thank you eagle

 Re: DLAN problem
It might be that the services is been shutdown. Please note that after a reboot you need to enable the service again. If still cannot then you have to refresh your player firmware and try again. Also note that the rendering feature of the player is not 100% working specially if you're on wireless network setup.

 Re: DLAN problem
Hi,
in this case you might need to uninstall the DMR from Windows and reinstall it by double clicking on the Embedded UPnP Renderer in your network.
to uninstall open windows media player and goto STREAM -> more streaming options. Remove the Playon here and afterwards open your file explorer and goto network and reinstall it.
Did you eventually install any additional software on your PC? Firewalls/Virus-scanners can also block this connection - so you might try to disable them temporarily.
cheers,

 Re: DLAN problem
Hello All
Well i uninstall the DMR from windows an install again ,now i can stream video from my computer to the PLAYONHD but it is not stable and still from time to time it's stuck and writ "unable to connect to device". From my galaxy it is still unable to connect to the PLAYONHD even after i download the iMediashare software.

 Re: DLAN problem
Basically this feature is not officially supported and therefore can be seen as experimental. Unfortunately we are not able to improve on the way how this works. Depending on the network you might get different results. One more thing you can try is using the firmware r5440 since we learned from experience that this seems to work best with the DLNA function.
Also for Android there are so many different apps and all of them give different results. I mostly use ArkMC, aMediaControl, iMediashare.
Hope this helps & br,
