I downgrade from 8.5.3 back to 8.3.2

Now my DVR is not detecting the 2tb HDD I got inside.

i don`t exactly know which firmware as you don`t mention the complete number,
but why don`t you try the 8.3.x r4824 to see if that one fills your needs,
and if the HDD will be seen again then.

or why not use the firmwares of the 8.5.x series?

Perhaps it is because the SDK4 other partition sizes has as SDK3 ?

correct if i am right.

I move back to 8.5.3 and I can detect the HDD again.

I dont really like the GUI of the 8.5.3, and I have issues with scheduling recording, it doesnt seem to turn on or perhaps I was not doing it correctly.

I also had HDD detection issues on r4585, couldnt even re-format as it wasnt detected at all. I found re-appling same FW again using "safe-method" of FW install resolved this.

r4824 is the older (GUI 1.0 interface) and was pretty quick/stable for me although had the scheduled recording bugs where it simply wouldnt start.

I'm now settled on r4585 and scheduled recording is good, EPG is fine and its a stable FW.

I find it easier to refer to the FW versions by their 'r' number.
