Truncated image with video playback in Youtube app
I have been encountering truncated images when playing videos in the Youtube app for quite sometime now and have thought that perhaps there is something wrong with the Youtube app.
However, I recently realised that if I set the image resolution on Veolo to 720p/60hz, the video will appear fine. Previously I had set the image resolution to Auto, and the images are always truncated, but only on Youtube app. Setting the image resolution manually to 1080p/60hz does not solve the problem either, only 720p/60hz solves the problem.
I tested this on 2 TVs of different size and get the same results with both: - Sony LCD 46" (supports 1080p) - Sont LCD 19"
Please advise. Thanks.

Re: Truncated image with video playback in Youtube app
Hi Bruce, the youtube app you are using is downloaded from Google market by Google Inc.? The app version is 2.3.4 which was I just tested and found it working. I set my player display resolution to Auto down to 720P and it all played the videos well. Hope you can try to check the application you are using and try again. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Re: Truncated image with video playback in Youtube app
Hi roger, Not sure if u misunderstood my issue, as my veolo could only play the YouTube video properly after I set the resolution down to 720p. However my tv supports 1080p full hd, so I would want to be able to set veolo at 1080p, but currently I'm not able to do so without having truncated images with YouTube app.
Ps: yes I got the official latest YouTube app from android market.
