When I first got the PlayonHD it was pretty good.

BUT NOW:
Now that I upgraded the software (firmware) it SUCKS big time.

Why is it that you mak an upgrade you make it WORSE!

Now it restarts when it feels like
Seldom if ever logs on to my shortcuts
Resets when you select a movie to watch
Takes FOREVER to move on the menu (by the way the menu sucks too)

If this was the firmware when I bought it, it would be in the trash bin, after I smashed the shit out of it with a sledge hammer!

You guys REALLY need to get your act together and make an update that IMPROVES the product.

BTW
The only reason that I upgraded was to be able to watch the mkv format. But better to buy a MKV to AVI converter and go back to the ORIGINAL firm ware.

Sorry for any inconvenience. If you're facing issues with some version of the firmware, i would gladly suggest to downgrade to the previous working firmware you're using before. Please consider that the software update will not give any guarantee that your device will work well, specially for HD1 as the hardware resources is maximize in using the latest software.

BTW

If your main priority is playback of media files, then i would suggest for you use version 4824.
