Post [Release Candidate] ACR-PV76120 v8.5.x.r5440 Playon!DVR-HD
Hello Playon!DVR-HD owners!

We are happy to announce our new Release Candidate firmware.
Below you will find links to download this new firmware together with the change log and instructions on how to install this firmware.

We have turned off 'Setup>System>Auto Scan' by default. This means that the main menu 'Movie/Music/Photo' selection will not be accessible until this function has been turned on and scanned your local storage. You can use 'Files Manager' or the new 'Shortcuts' for quick access of your files. We have done this change due to the possibility of adding 'Shortcuts' and to save resources of the player for those who don't want to have this function on.

The change log in the link refers to the Playon HD2 (the PV73700)

edit 11:37 - the change log included with the download zip file is correct

Hi all

1) I wanted to ask whether it is already fixed while recording and watching movies in HD quality?

2) must be done due to format the HDD recording from EPG

Not ready for release! I safe flashed (as usual) and did my channel scan, set up Samba, FTP etc.
I was recording two TV channels simultaneously and pressing the info button to see if the first was due to finish (it was). Just as the first recording had finished the box crashed :o
After the re-boot (I don't have auto-scan turned on and history is turned off) the box does some preliminary disk access and displays "Starting NAS". Then it crashes and re-boots and crashes and re-boots........

I've pulled the power for now.
A number of the fixes in this release were already in the beta. The summer time option is a useful addition.

Fix 19 - choosing recorded program does not work - still drops you into the Movies folder instead of the REC folder.

When I was setting up FTP user and password I got a display $[unable service], but it seemed to enable FTP.

When varying the volume the black background in the dialogue display flickers a lot.

Schedule Record still interrupts what you're viewing or listening at the time.

Still no programme info data in the EPG.

Now to fix the re-boot cycle. My theory is that some part of the NTFS file system has been broken or corrupted.

I think you may have a lot of feedback to review when you return to work on Monday

Hey tony,

please check this post regarding your reboot issue: viewtopic.php?f=129&t=15008

The problem might be that there the old .THEATER folder on the HDD. Unless you can 'clean the history' in SETUP -> SYSTEM you will need to delete it manually.

regards,
