 Re: [Official] ACR-PV76120 v8.5.x.r7317 Playon!DVR-HD
@Pil71 Do you think that I didn't double check the transmission before I write down anything? What am I? One of the AC Ryan's staff? I'm talking fora Greek private tracker and for a very popular torrent that had more than 40 peers online. Also I check the download with my utorrent on my PC...

We are AC.Ryan's own little Beta Testers, just a shame (under statement) that they never listen, never learn, choose to ignore etc etc. Come on Mikael, we know you have read the issues reported on this forum, what do you have to say ?

That's pretty much what I figured ... sort of takes the streaming functionality right out of the unit. This whole firmware release is a very disappointing effort from a "professional" development team. If these guys are being paid then they are taking money under false pretences. This standard is what you'd expect from a hacker working out of his Grannies basement. If ACR is going to use us as beta testers they should formalise the arrangement. As I mentioned in an earlier post, they would get a much better result that way! : ' echo "End of Rant" '

No, every hacker crew would deliver better results. I am think that the problem is, that there are no real software developers employed. They are clicking with their Realtek SDK a firmware together and nobody there knows what they are doing. This is the only explanation for this results. So many release numbers for relative few changes in the firmware...development by try and error.

On the face of it there is little or no consistency between f/ware releases. The idea is to take the best from the last and improve on the worst features in the next. These guys are one step forward and two back (like the wireless encryption) ... the features are available in SDK4 but are used and then discarded when it is common knowledge that advice from the hardware vendors of wireless routers is to disable WPS due to the security concerns! If I could find a copy of SDK4 I'd have a go myself. The 76120 box works reasonably well but is seriously let down by its f/ware.

So anybody from ACR keen to give some feedback? I mean it is your forum but I havent heard a peep out of you guys unless your releasing patchy firmware!! Is this stuff getting worked on or are we complaining about something you have no intention of fixing?

 Re: [Official] ACR-PV76120 v8.5.x.r7317 Playon!DVR-HD
With firmware v8.5.x.r5440 the channels could be numbered using the non-sequential logical channel number (eg. ABC1=channel 2, SBS=channel3 ... OneHD=channel 50, etc.). With this update, when I sort by logical channel number, the channels are sequentially numbered (so ABC1=channel 1, SBS=channel 2 ... OneHD=channel 16, etc.). Has anybody else seen similar?

 Re: [Official] ACR-PV76120 v8.5.x.r7317 Playon!DVR-HD
I have just purchased in Australia a HD set top box from Aldi for $35 (Euro28). The LCN works perfectly, it plays all the movies just like the DVRHD does from my 1TB USB external disk, the EPG works fine and it has OTR and scheduled recording that does not crash the box. It even has Time Shift that works fine. If they can get all this working well for 35 bucks what is the problem at AC Ryan?? Get your act together guys with this latest firmware or loose the business!

7317 release as good as simply rename from previous version.
Those most basic requirement for DVR not even fix!!! 1. While WATCHING movies, TV schedule record will KICK you out and switch to DTV !! Why can not do recording in background silently without interrupting movies been played????
2. EPG extremely slow to a point not usable, even ant can crawl faster.
Both are DVR related function and this release DOES NOT FIX those, must as well remove the DVR from this product name
