Chinese New Year lasts officially for 2 weeks ... so that's around Feb 10th plus 6 months of testing .... so September 2012 is my guess (in case no blocking issues are found)!
R.i.P. AC Ryan :=(

May the Firmware project Rest In Peace!!! Don't speak too soon. I've just received word that new firmware is definitely on the way. Apparently testing will begin after the Chinese New Year holidays are over. Welll dasjournal, Your other comments are very much appriciated, but "dont speak to soon" is a little, I dont know how to say it... This agony lasts (only with this beta) 5 months, not even to mention that unit was NEVER working as advertized. Again, I thank You for much help, more than from AC, but dont You think that this issues are taking incredible long time to be fixed-for a minimum functionality and stability expected. Already I expect that EPG recording will never work like on my parents 30USD dvb with pvr. And that somebody will finaly tell us that they are not able to make indexing in a proper way, and that they dont know or dont care for freezing, loosing files, radio functionality, wlan, even with lan on W7, Yamj, Tube, netspeed, etc, etc.. All the best and respect to You and others who still care

Duievels - are you for real, have you been reading this forum and more importantly, have you understood a word we are all complaining about ?
I suspect you don't use a 76120 as your main device.
If there is an alternative, more up to date, bug free firmware, lets here it about it else what is this forum for !

Yes, I have been reading this forum and I think I know what you are talking about. Read this thread and, if you can read German, this. I do not own a 76120 at all, but the issue is the same for all Realtek based players, including those of the competition. Yet, as this forum is hosted by AC Ryan, we do not tolerate links to non AC Ryan firmware.

THEN give us the newer firmware that works in subtitles as advertised and the new GUI 2.0 firmware is when ACRyan is connected preventing me to see the picture on TV, the pass through RF is not working properly.
You are deleting links of the competition firmware. I understand. But then finish the 2.0 or give my money back. I have really enough of this attitude of your company.

While we wait for a FW release to fix bugs in 5440 - what's the most stable FW to fall back to ? I'm thinking the latest stable pre-GUI 2.0 release.
Main objectives for me would be to have : a. Working EPG (even if not perfect) b. Reduced file system corruption issues and associated reboots c. Workable Scheduled/Manual Recording functions
Thoughts ?
