Me too I am also in Sydney and I think it has only just started, I loaded the Beta version F/Ware on Saturday but I don't recall the time limitation being evident until Tuesday night when I wanted to add a record schedule. Ended up setting it up via the scheduled recording option.

No its not just the Sydney region as I live in Melbourne. Is it possible that its an issue just with the asian beta version, as I haven't seen anyone report this issue from Europe. BTW I noticed this issue as soon as I loaded this Beta version.

The basic EPG is ok here in Ireland - showing time slots from programmes just before midnight through to next midnight. No programme info/synopsis, though. Still a bit ropey as it refreshes itself after its initial display of programmes. Hate the way it changes channel unnecessarily to display programme list for that channel and the way it interrupts current TV/Movie/Music watching/listening in order to record a scheduled programme.

If you like wilder on updating (F5) click it sometimes not always goes.

This mistake exists since FW 4824.
But on the HP under "Specifications" stands still:
Features: > web Remote Schedule Recording
Network Features: > Remote Schedule Recording

Here in Germany you would have long time ago a complaint of the Konkurenz because of competitive distortion.



Another bug with regard to web Remote of the A.C.Ryan for a long time is known:
No password protection. If I want to use Web-Remote and unlock port 1024, anyone can do stupid things on my PlayOn.

Anyone know a way to browse the web using this firmware version?

In the previous firmware version (PV76120_v8.5.x.r3966) you could go to YouTube XL, select Login, click on the 'forgotten password' option then the 'help' link which would take you to Google Help and from there you could get to Google Search. A bit convoluted, I know, and the browser had no back/forward buttons, etc, but it worked.

In this version the mouse pointer seems to have been removed from YouTube XL making it impossible to click links. Is there another way that I'm missing?

I have noticed that several DVDR iso the fast forward dosent work when I go over 2x, then it start to skip several minutes forward. Has anyone else experienced this? Just saw this Beta firmware since i was looking for others with same issues, will give this a try!

Please, can someone tell me if in this fw are present (at last!) CM SKIP and INS REPLAY functions that are present in the fw for POH!HD? Thank you very much.

i just bought a used playon!hd DVR few days ago mainly for use as a media player and NAS. Due to the arise of the problem of new official firmware i decided to try this beta firmware (asia).
It was a pleasant update and great dispaly however after 30 mins of running i encounter 2 problems as follow:

1) There is no manual IP address setting for Wireless Network which the wired network have
2) When come to wireless setting and internet stuff, it seem to hang at times

Another qns is what is the average speed transfer for transferring for PC wired and wireless to the device, i tried wireless is less than 1.5mb/s, would i able to achieve more? think the fastest speed transfer is through USB from removable hardisk so far from what i tried.
