Post Recording Problems
1. Recording Issue

I am in A/V In and when I press REC button nothing happens. When I set it up to save on an external hard disk, it is ok but to the internal hard disk is a problem. Do I need to format it? Initialize it?

2. Interface

I have upgraded the firmware Firmware v8.5.4.r7317 - European Edition but the on screen interface is different from the manual.

3. Format HDD

When I try to format the internal HDD the interface is asking me for a password.

For this case please make sure that the internal HDD is recognized by the player, if there is formatting message prompting then you must initialize this process first.

Sorry for this inconvenience but hope you can downgrade to 4824 (old interface) or 4585 (new interface) as this works better compare to the current firmware that you have. There are no current updated manual for all of the new firmware with new interface. Take note that the two most important button on your remote in using the new interface are the "Menu" and "EPG" buttons. Each time you press either of these buttons you will get an on-screen options on which command you want to execute. For example while inside AV/IN please try pressing the mentioned buttons for the options to appear.

This is a protection to not to accidentally format the HDD. The default password key is four zeros "0000" (w/o quote).
