Net User ID loginscreen solution
Hi all,
The past few weeks there is an increase in questions relating to the network login on Windows based computers.
Even if there were no problems before, users get a "NetUser ID and password" pop up when attempting to access the network shares.
It seems that in the latest Windows Live Essentials update, something has altered the Samba client in Windows, rendering it inaccessible for our players. One solution was to go back to a restore point and remove the Live Essential programs but since one of them is the Messenger client, not many people did that.
While we are working on a firmware fix for that, please try the following steps:
1. Remove your shares from your PC/Laptop =
Unshare them (Important)2. Do the steps found in this URL ->
viewtopic.php?f=41&t=22693. Also do step 2 which includes the reg fix, which can be found here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?z4n0k8szj9yn7u44. Restart your PC.
5. Share the folders you want to access with Playon!HD and make sure you share them to 'Everyone'.
Optional:
If you still get the netuser id then fill in your Windows login name and pass there and
"save to my shortcuts". Or create a new user in Windows with admin rights and fill in the name and pass when/if prompted on the player.

Attention: In general, the computer will say that a change in the register can endanger the pc. Ignore this message. Some anti virus programs may also block the execution of the regfile. If so, please disable the anti virus program for a short while.
