Did you use the AC Ryan unit to format the HDD before you began using it?

Re: Files Access Denied When Trying To Access From Computer
Hello,
I suspect that your files were not properly 'saved' if you were writing on your disc and it was not shutdown properly? Hard to say, but you can try to connect the Playon! to your PC and perform a scandisk. Also check if you can see and use the files normally once you are connected to your PC.
Once you are done, safe remove the Playon! from your PC and once you have done this and removed the USB-slave cable, wait for ~45 seconds and then press the power button to shut down, so you don't have to 'pull out' the power cord.
See if this works and also confirm if this worked as it should once you had the hard drive connected to your PC.
Best regards,
