Apple Lossless to be expected on a.c.ryan products ?

 Apple Lossless to be expected on a.c.ryan products ? The posts I found on ALAC here were all created before Apple put ALAC to open source.
Did this change the situation with a.c.ryan products so that the codec is maybe supported now or available as a software update soon ?

The handling of the audio and video streams is done completely by the SoC (system on a chip) inside the player, the CPU only takes care of the GUI and sends the files to the SoC. So if the player could handle the files before it is very doubtful it will do in the future. A software update will not add new formats to play.

Re: Apple Lossless to be expected on a.c.ryan products ? thanks. sure thing. but specs change and maybe acryan will come up with new hardware at any time. To not support alac is a clear no-go for me. I do not want to recode all the stuff I import into itunes. Just want to copy the lib and let it play from the hdd player then. so let's wait ...
