Hosting a USB blu-ray drive

 Hosting a USB blu-ray drive I am planning to buy one of those $99 external blu-ray drives which work on USB power. If I connect it to POHD using USB port, can I use it to play a blu-ray movie and route it to the TV using HDMI output? Will the copy-protection/DRM be a problem? Has anyone tried it? I want to make sure before I buy an external blu-ray drive. Otherwise I'd just buy an internal one. Thanks!!

Like you mention it will not be able to pass the copy-protection.
