WMV titles, upnp images and more
Yesterday bought the ACR-PV73100P+ and I'm running into several problems.
1. If I go to a photo directory with uPNP using the browser, then press right twice to set it to photo's, press the '.' (as it doesn't list photos) it goes to a thumbnail page, but all names are wrong, and so it can't find the files. Has to do with uPNP, because when I use the network option to go to the NAS it is able to show them (and the filenames are right).
2. WMV videos over uPNP also have a problem. They are being displayed with the 'comment' or 'title' that's in the file (so not the filename). But for ALL files with the same 'title' it reverts to the same file when played. So if I've got a siterip with 20 files with the website as titile, it plays the same file for all of them (and plays the same file as preview for all of them). Seems to work over the network, as it displays the filename instead of the given name in the file.
3. Has a big problem with WMV. One of the reasons I bought it is because the PS3 is quite limited in formats. WIth WMV being one of the problem formats (which just might have something to do that it's from Microsoft...). But the Playon!HD plays even fewer WMV's than the PS3 does! But it's mostly on par - WMV's the PS3 doesn't play, the POH also doesn't play... But at least it plays mkv, so I don't need to convert those...
4. Avi also isn't an improvement over the PS3. Seems to have problems with the same files that the PS3 doesn't like... (plays from my PC over Tversity though...). But that's probably the wide range of avi codecs that exist...
5. Network connectivity could be done a lot more user friendly. I spent quite a long time to find out how to copy a file over the network from my NAS! And I even had to resort to this forum! ALso, why can't I copy a file using uPNP?
Using software 7.0.6 r3875. And a Synology DS209 NAS.
