Hi

Installed YAMJ on the pc and indexed the usb drive. After starting the Jukebox I can see no films as long as I´m using the "default" filters ALL. When using other filters like Letter A or genres I can see the films belonging to this category.

But I like to see ALL films in the list. Switching to all letters to see all movies is uncomfortable.

Any idea whats wrong?

Delete the juxebox dir and the index.hm


And rescan it again with the latest Yamj and use the Ac Ryan Gui tool

I used the latest software provided by AC Ryan... Also the rescanning brought nothing - same result as before.
Could it be possible that the Mini2 or the Jukebox implementation on it has a problem with different types of content?
The movies are mostly DVD structures (AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS) but some are single video files type avi.

Update:

As you proposed I installed the latest yamj software (2.4) and rescanned my hdd - successfull without problems. After attaching back to the Mini2, selecting the index.html and allow the update it took about 2min until the Mini2 reboots.

And now I have a Mini2 which shows the PlayonHD startscreen, reboots, startscreen, reboots and so on.
Also if I remove the hdd the box won´t start. NICE...

After using the Mini2 for about 2 weeks I had a lot of anoying bugs, nothing works and now the device is totally unusable.
I´ll try to reflash with the latest firmware, hope this gets it back to operation.

Question: Will there be a working firmware in the next time? Or even betas which can be tried?

Reflash Pohd to 4318 using the safe method
Flash immediately after 4318 through the normal flashmethode to 3582 (may be that during the flash the device reboots 1 time and then continues to flash, this is to tupdate he bootloader if that has not happened.)
Flash him through the normal method to 4824.

Flash methods

Standard method
1: Turn off Ryan, red LED lights.
2: USB stick or an SD card [FAT 32 formatted] with the firmware .

The file name is always - install.img -

Setup> System> System update. [remote]

The firmware will now be flashed.

Safe Mode Flash
1. Pull the plug
2: On / off button pressed.
3: Voltage at the Ryan set.
4: On / Off button only release when the blue LED starts blinking or loading on the TV is visible.
5: Waiting for the Ryan finished flashing.
6: reconfigure your settings (video/network etc).
7: Turn off Ryan> wait> turn back on the Ryan.

Isn't this advice for generation 1 players?

Since he's got a Mini 2 player he should probably only choose between r1731 (Initial firmware) and r2073 (Latest release).

Update:

The flashing with the firmware went ok and the Mini2 is back. Save flash was the only possible way to do it as there were no way to access the menu.
Again, after using Jukebox and selecting the index.html the Mini2 crashes. Maybe a more actual beta version of YAMJ could help.

At the moment I´m not so amused about that all. The Movies Menu point is unusable and the Jukebox also. There´s only the way over the filebrowser and with 2 hdd attached its simply also unusable.

It can´t be so difficult to display all films in alphabetic order with covers...

For information:
installed is latest firmware 2073
YAMJ was official 2.4 with AC Ryan software installed before
two USB drives attached with 2x2TB
about 600 films, about 70% direct DVD Rips done by me, 20% single VOBs ripped by me and the Rest are AVI

last update for today:

Installed the latest YAMJ release 2.5 r2255 and did again a complete rescan. Put the hdds back to the Mini2 and this time the update works. Thats all for the good news.

The bad news - I´m back at the original problem - with the ALL filter there are now movies shown. Hate this, it feels like beta testing...

Anyone here who have similar problems and got it solved?

how many films are on your hdd(s) present? Which formats do you used for testing.
In my case I have a structure like this (with only this file types)

/movie title 1/AUDIO_TS
/movie title 1/VIDEO_TS (and DVD files VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.BUP, VTS_01_0.IFO....)
/movie title 2/movie title 2.VOB
/movie title 3/movie title 3.AVI

latest YAMJ-run stated 667 movies. If its not a problem with the xmls, could it be the amount of files? On the PC with the htmls its running fine.

Do you know a possibility to enable logging on the mini2? Any other idea what I can do instead of testing with every single movie?

Or is there an alternative to create the structure and index.html for the jukebox?
