After recording, Play!on still working. How can I setup it to get standby after recording?

If you schedule a recording and put the unit into standby it 'should' return to standby after the recording. There are certain scenarios where this doesn't happen and the unit will stay powered 'on'. This is very difficult to fix and happens from to time. Personally i would advise to use some kind of timed contact or remote impulse which shuts the unit down i.e. if you're holiday or something.

best regards,

It is really annoying to shutdown the box before last minute recordings. If there is not enough time you can not shutdown the box due the planned next recording. Then you have to change the start time and this results in incomplete records. Sometimes i wonder if the programmers of ACRyan know the meaning of the word usability for such basic things.

Why is ACRyan not be able to implement a additionally shutdown option in schedule planning for recording?

A other way is to register pushing of the power button during recording for a shutdown task after recording.

Because the core software package is from Realtek which provides the SDK. You cannot just change anything you like. People who are into developing know how hard it is to work around a SDK and implement things. For you it might sound so easy where it is actually not. As i can understand your and others frustration about this i really do hope that you also understand our point of view. Believe me if everything would be so easy we would have 1000's of those boxes out there with perfect software which we unfortunately do not. The SDK is designed the way it and works after that principle and there is not much we can do about it except trying to make the best of it.

best regards,
