Re: Unknown hardware! The software can't work!
Never tried non AC Ryan firmware (Mede8er, Fantec for instance)? That may have corrupted the bootloader. You have two years guarantee. So, if the problem persists, see your vendor or contact AC Ryan for repair or replacement. Non AC Ryan firmware voids the guarantee, however.

Re: Unknown hardware! The software can't work!
I had the same message when upgrading from r3582 to (SDK4) r2115 but if I waited a few minutes the message cleared and didn't come back.

Because if it is just some bad capacitors, I would like to know which ones, so I can replace them myself. I have not sent my mini in for RMA, because I prefer having to power cycle it once a day, to having it be gone for many weeks. I doubt I am the only one who feels this way. It seems to me that it must be possible to fix this error in SW, since the error is gone if one loads an older firmware release. That A.C.Ryan have not been able to find a SW fix for this does not reflect well on their competence. The error is easily reproducible, and is obviously caused by the HW state being different depending on whether the board is power cycled or soft reset. The most likely cause is an uninitialized variable. Another possibility is reset timing delays. I encounter these types of errors often in my work, and this is one I would expect to root cause with only a small effort.

Let me join the choir then. Same problem. Old firmware works like a charm, All other firmware with the NEW SDK fails. It will work just great when installed, but first reboot pending the installation will introduce the Unknown HW error. viewtopic.php?f=108&t=18121

Re: Unknown hardware! The software can't work!
Did you install firmware 3582 before installing the GUI2 firmware?
3582 includes a bootloader, which is required by all later firmware releases.
