“The Playon!HD mini is quite a successful product. At a great price you get a perfect unit for any living room with movies streamed in Full HD quality on the home TV.

The user interface of Playon!HD mini is very simple and straightforward. The settings are extensive so the Playon!HD mini can be configured individually. However, this is only partly necessary because the default settings were already in order. In our wireless network, the router was found immediately. Files created in Windows to share are provided with guest privileges in the browser of Playon!HD mini, so you can access files that are located on your machine. It is important that the share in the workgroup is named "WORKGROUP", otherwise requests across the network get quickly complicated. Properly configured, it is no problem accessing shared movies. The most common point is clearly the browser. With this you can either browse the network for files or a connected storage device. All this is achieved intuitively and somewhat quickly. So you don’t have excessively long waiting times.

There are many possibilities with the Playon!HD mini to see movies, listen to music, or just look at pictures in a slideshow. In most cases this works flawlessly. We were amazed when we saw that the Playon!HD mini effectively able to play 1080p movies fluidly. Also, the playing of files that were located on a connected USB flash drive or on an external drive worked perfectly.

If you are looking for a media player for your living room at home, the Playon!HD mini from AC Ryan is certainly worth a recommendation. The simple configuration, silence in operation, and that a plethora of video formats is supported, make it an interesting candidate”
