Leading Slovenian hardware magazine Moj Mikro reviewed the Playon!HD Mini for their June issue – it received their editorial recommendation!

“Our favourite media player!”


“Very positive is the fact that the Playon!HD Mini has no cooling fan and is thus made to play without noise. Overall, the gadget is covered with a black metal housing. On the front the company logo is imprinted with hidden red/blue lights, which is also an operation indicator for the device. In addition to the network connection at the back, two USB inputs can be found. It will be the cornerstone of functionality of the device - it can be connected to an external USB hard drive or USB key. Indeed, the Playon!HD can play from virtually anything. A link to your TV is possible through HDMI and older connections. The Remote control is great and transparent.

YAMJ is also incorporated - a program for the uploaded movie content on the Internet to automatically seek additional movie information. When for example, the file name reveals the name of the film, it will look through IMDB's additional information (on actors, director etc). We did not find these features in other Realtek-chip players, not even for models that have a built-in drive. All features operate smoothly, and radio and internet access plus weather forecasts provide additional value. Responsiveness of the player is excellent. Playing 1080p through HDMI works perfectly. The Playon!HD Mini is our favourite media player so far!”
