Germany’s largest PC hardware testing website Hardwareluxx has just reviewed the Playon!HD Mini.
It came out with their “Excellent Hardware” award! English summary below.

“Perfect complement to an existing network”


“The Playon!HD Mini is the perfect complement to an existing network, including UPnP server. Strictly speaking, this is a smaller version of the normal version, which has removed the possibility of a hard drive installation. There is an appealing mix of glossy and matte surfaces. The connection panel is slimmed down slightly, but would hardly be described as disturbing. On the back is still the HDMI 1.3 socket, YUV and normal RCA video output for video. Since AC Ryan also integrates two USB sockets, only the coax digital output and the card reader are really noticeable in their absence.

The menu is beautifully decorated and is well matched to the great functionality of the Playon! HD. It offers direct access to all functions and all the settings. The practical application ran perfectly without problems. The Playon! HD could handle all a supplied data and acted extremely stable. There were no disconnects or other problems.
