TV Freak is a leading hardware website in Czech Republic. They recently reviewed the Playon!HD and the Playon!HD Mini.
Both impressed in testing and won the “Hit” award!

“In both cases, we are left with positive impressions of the processing and bundled accessories, which I would expect for each media player. Computing power from the Realtek chipset proved to be sufficient and I was quite happy because a sudden jump back into the menu does not cause problems.
Speaking of GUI, I must commend the quality of the file manager and the generally well-structured environment. Everything is very intuitive and the remote control also covers a lot of options. With performances during testing, the downloading and streaming of files left a good impression over the wired network. Here I was able to push more of the internal player to record data at 43 Mbps, which is a very good value.

Another plus point is the presence of the local language, which makes these models accessible for all family members. I enjoyed the high speed transmission using wired networking. The HD model tested has a cooling fan for the hard disk, although this was relatively quiet.

I prefer to use the Mini with an external hard drive away from the living room. Both models performed very well for us and walk away with the “Hit” award”
