Just being excited after having got my box connected to a wired media

Yes, I saw YouTube and the like .... even saw TED Talk, which I really like. Now, I would like to know if I can add other media too. Media as in:
Khan Academy -> http://www.khanacademy.org/ ... this is very good for children to learn.
NDTV -> http://www.ndtv.com/video/live/channel/ndtv24x7 .... some Indian News
CNN-IBN -> http://ibnlive.in.com/livetv/ .... another news channel.

If there is some way I can add this to the "Internet Media", that would be great

Is there some way I can watch it using the PO DVR-HD? If yes, any way to bookmark it so that I don't have to type in the address everytime?

EDIT: Forgot to add ... maybe if non of the above is possible, is it possible for me to place a url shortcut on my hdd and then either run it or at the very least copy/paste it into some form of browser?

Thanks for your feedback.

Unfortunately, what you ask is not possible with our Playon! series. The 'Internet Media' section is predefined by our firmware, as we have agreements with these services/companies and they are implemented by our developers. You can't customize these services or add any new ones.

If you use the 'Internet Media' section and go to Twitter or Facebook, you can then use the 'Green' button on the remote control to bring down the URL field (you can also use the 'Yellow' button to get the virtual keyboard). You can then enter URL's to browse around the internet. This is based on 'Webkit Lite' and you don't have full java/flash support so you will not be able to stream flash based content.

The Playon! series hardware is not able to handle full flash/java and that means you cannot get a full/proper web browser for these products.

What you ask is possible on our newer product VEOLO.
