Post im new to playon hd and i have a few begginers questions
ive recently bought my play on hd mini and i have a few questions....

1) after Ive updated to the v7.4.6.r5440 firmware my playon mini got very hot after a few moment of scrolling through the Menu..do you know about that? Is that because the new graphics (gui 2.0) ?

2) is my playon can possibly stop working one day because it got very hot during play time? What is the Maximum temperature that my playon can stand with?

3) after the update ( v7.4.6.r5440) I've noticed that the scrolling and moving between options in the Menu is extremely slow! Way is that? I mean the old firmware was working very good and fast...

4) if I bought my playon mini in Israel which firmware I need to upgrade with, the Asian or the Europe version?

Thank you very much for the help!

I moved your post to the Playon!HD Mini section of forum.

1. I never noticed any difference temperature of the unit before and after updating the firmware. Mine is never warm, tepid at most. Is it free standing on a hard surface and are the cooling vents in the bottom and the back of the unit free?

2. The unit could stop working due to excessive heat. I do not know what temperature it can stand, but normally electronics should not be warmer than 70 degrees Celsius.

3. Did you turn on Auto scan? That is probably the cause of the sluggish menu.

4. European and Asian support different menu languages, but the functionality should be the same.

That is also caused by the Auto scan function. Turn that off first and then delete the .Theater folder form your USB memory devices (hard disk and/or memory stick).

The vents are the holes in the bottom and the backside of the unit. The mini has no fan. Do not place it on a warm receiver or amplifier.

I saw your post, but I do not use the jukebox, so your question is beyond my knowledge.
