Post Discontinued.
First and foremost this is anything but me 'flaming'.
I come on this site every few months to check for firmware updates. When I came on today, for the aforementioned reason, I came across a post stating that this product along with others have been discontinued. I am very disappointed about this. If I would of known last year, when I brought this product, that you would discontinue support for it and not provide any other future updates, I would of chosen a different media player. But alas I am stuck with this media player with software, that in my opinion, is full of bugs. I would list these bugs, but no fix will ever be released, so is there any point?
I believe you should open source the firmware, because, unlike AC Ryan, there are customers that would be willing to 'fix' the mess that you have left. I know this won't happen, but I just wanted to vent my opinions. I think I would of rather burned the money I spent on the Mini, than to put it into your hands.
I would strongly urge anyone contemplating buying a AC Ryan product to look elsewhere.
This topic will get locked and some ridiculous reason by staff will be given. But to my knowledge this is the 'Discussion & Questions' sections, and I believe that this is discussing the discontinuation of the Mini.
I will not be returning to this site, or ever be purchasing another product from you.

Farewell,
Chalky

Some simple arithmetic shows that you b(r)ought your Mini two (2) years ago.

Your first post dates from 22 July 2010:

AC Ryan have said that they will provide the normal hardware warranty, but the chipset and SDK are no longer supported by Realtek. There is little chance of the firmware being made open source either, unless Realtek agree to it.
Far from ideal, maybe, but the chipsets in the V1 players have now been replaced twice by new versions, so support was always going to end sooner or later
