Sorry, maybe this is a wrong section.
I read about many problems with these firmwares.
I would like to buy a new POHD Mini, but at present state of things I'm starting to believe it's better to take refuge on a Tvix N1...am I wrong? :(

Ther is only ONE good solution:

Browse your collection and put different formats on an usb-stick.
Then go the shops and try the player to see if it has the features you're looking for.

Hi

dont know if this is the right place to make bug report

1. my POHD mini could not find my external dvd-rom drive. I inserted a disk with .mkv file on it. POHD dvd-logo in browser was greyed out

2. tried to play flac files (24bit/96kHz and 5.1). POHD was connected directly to tv via hdmi and audio output was set to 2 channel LPCM. Sound stutters alot. Is this supposed to work?

Hello,

1. I have not heard about this before. I have no USB-DVD right now to test.

2. FLAC files work here for me. 2.1/5.1 and 7.1 up to 192khz(don't have higher quality). I have to set audio output to HDMI LPCM Multichannel. You can also try to set your video resolution to 1080p/50hz.

What firmware? You should probably be on r. 4090 for best FLAC results.

Br,

Hi

I have the latest official FW release (r3582). I dont want to upgrade to the beta (4090) since so many people have had problems with "unknown hardware error".
Will try to hook up to my receiver and set to Multichannel and see if this works.

Too bad for external USB-DVD...

When the Playon! screensaver is activated during MP3 playback. Songs with filename that starts with a capital 'L' will leave a trailing white tail as the logo drifts around the screen.

[Update] The filename must be longer than the length of the Playon! logo for trailing tail to appear.

Also, is it possible to disable displaying song information by default when a music file is played?

Thank you.
