Post Re: [BETA] PV73200 r4312 firmware **POHD MINI**
I have mkv files newly downloaded from scene , which can't be played.(mkvtoolnix v4.2)
http://www.mpcclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24821

I have a rip of my very own copy of Avatar bluyray in mt2s format with DTS-HD MA audio only, that I can't play properly.

I see it's over 6 weeks ago since the PlayonHD Mini community saw a new firmware update. And the whole thing is a no go for me, and I am very dissapointed.

Everything looked so promising when I was in the market, and decided to go with PlayonHD Mini, and with such a good price. Almost to good to be true, BUT, it seems you get what you pay for.

Well, I'm seriuosly thinking, I shouldn't have purchased this player, and gone with something else. If the new firmware isn't out in a few days, I will use my rights and return it back to the dealer, Komplett.dk ( 14 day return policy).

I don't understand. I can play mkv files perfect with this firmware. I read on several forums that mkvtoolniks can give problems on many mediaplayers, so it's not a Playon!HD problem.
So try some other mkv files.

Try to rip your Bluray's with DTS, that is playing perfect.

I think this beta firmware is the best till now, better then the official 3582.
So I hope they Will fix the bugs in this beta 4312 and then make it an official firmware :grinning:

Seems there is a new OFFICIAL firmware.

Edit 1: The beta seems to be much, much, much better (I still gonna try though :P)
Edit 2: I had no problems with the Official one but neather with the Beta..so I flash the latter

I guess, if there was, it would be mentioned on the forums. Still the newest firmware is this beta version (4312).

At the same time I wonder what happened to the AC Ryan crew, who was frequent contributor of all the news and now somehow almost all of the people went silent.

I imagine, most of the effort now is to put the new interface look into all the menus (last time we received new main screen), but this is only my thought and I would appreciate any feedback from the dev. team as to how things are going.

The Above file will play and my AMP switches to DTS on the front.

Whats confusing me is that the PS3 will play both files and display DTS audio on the amp.

So why will the PCM stream not play on the Playon?
