Re: [BETA] firmware version r3612 with YAMJ & Trial BT
Hi,
I've tested YAMJ and it works. A lot of films are listed incorrectly. I use several separate harddisks so i have to browse more than 1 jukebox, that's a bit annoying too.
YAMJ is funny but i will still use my "Personal Video Database" on my laptop. More info, quicker and looks better.

I also would like to add support for calls to get the POHD Mini to reconnect to the index automatically rather than having to go through process each time I connect to the Jukebox!
Also, I agree that it is too slow to load when dealing with more than about 50 movies, so that needs to be improved.
The biggest problem I have is with using YAMJ for TV Series. YAMJ pulls down the incorrect poster art and prog details. I have used YANFOE to create the correct the correct NFO files, but YAMJ seems to ignore them and create its own XML files! Secret is to get the TV shows named in a YAMJ friendly format. Use this... Thanks for you help.. It is very much appreciated..

The best way around this is to create a NFO file with just the URL of the SERIES (not SEASON) page of the TV show from TheTVDB.com. name this file the same as the first episode in the folder, or if there are only those episodes in the directory, the name of the directory. Thanks for the tip..

Re: [BETA] firmware version r3612 with YAMJ & Trial BT
Did anyone else have trouble with the 'Read Only' error on the index file ??
Ive given everything read/write access but i still get this error.
I can change the file names, and delete files off the network from the mini so i know the access is there.
Please help

Re: [BETA] firmware version r3612 with YAMJ & Trial BT
Hi,
I'm deleting my previous post as I wasn't doing things right and managed to make everything worked except one thing: I still have the "read only" message when I launch the index file on the playon!
Do we know what the playon is trying to write?
I tried to change rights on the index.htm file plus on the jukebox directory, I don't care much if anybody can access this, but apparently this is not enough.
I don't want to provide full access to the whole movie directory, don't want the kids or anyvbody to delete some by mistake.
I could setup the jukebox on another place but apparently there is no choice but to setup and install it on the same folder where the movies are?
If do, this is bad. Annoying because it adds a bunch of file on a directory where only movies are supposed to be placed. Annoying because it takes ages to launch the jukebox (deeply scanning the whole directory where I have a lot of files). And because it doesn't work for me...
Feeling like this is the pre-history movie jukeboxes, but would really be nice to have it...
And of course, music jukebox also on the mini, but that's another story I guess...
I have a PlayonHD mini and I'm using only a NAS to launch media files, don't want to use a USB hard drive (that's part of the mini goal : UPNP and no internal storage!).
I hope this "read only" thing will be fixed soon, or a workaround find (moving the jukebox files somewhere else where we can safely give anyome access to it, and only to it).
Thanks to anyone that could provide help, and thanks for all people working on this developments!
Rgds

The way the jukebox of the POHD works is by searching a combination of the index.html and jukebox folder (maybe it also searches some files inside the folder). It then uses the xml files to create rss files which it parses for the information in the jukebox (note: the html files in the folder are not being used at all). So when you "update" the jukebox it simply (re)creates these rss files and therefore needs write permission. If you allow read/write on the index.html and jukebox folder it should work!

Memesa, Thanks for your answer. But as you can see on the screenshot attached, I provided full access to the index file plus the Jukebox directory and all files in it. And it still give "read only" message and no jukebox on the PlayonHD mini. Attachment:

I'm not really aware of providing rights in Linux (my NAS is a Iomega running on Linux), but I think I cannot provide more rights than what is in place here. In my example, "Films" is the directory that I would like to index and use with YAMJ; I don't care providing full access to the index file and jukebox whole directory, but I don't want to provide other right than read on the "films" directory. Any suggestion is appreciated! thanks.

Screen Size is a feature that allows you to align the red box to the border portion of your TV, so that if you zoom to fit, the video resolution will fit into the red box. Video System allows you to setup the device to link up with your TV resolution as they are many different settings (e.g. FullHD TV on 1080p 50 or 60Hz, HD Ready TV on 1366 x 768 | 720P 50/60 Hz | 1080i 50/60 Hz, etc.) HDMI auto allows the device to communicate with the TV and set up itself to the maximum resolution supported on your TV. If it is greyed out, try checking the cables again. J.

Cable tested (HDMI cable in the box with the player). Test various settings (1080p 50 or 60). Note also selected city [weather feed], are not saved in Favorites (3612).
Tested Firmware: 2956 (ok), 3612, 3537 (ok, now). Firmware 3537 works fine.
