Am happy about the improvements like shortcuts , but: On my HD Mini the same as on my HD Mini2 Shoutcast does not work anymore after upgrading once to each new firmware . Yes, the problem even persists now when downgrading to older firmware. While Youtube e.g. is always running fine. I reported the hole thing in the Playon!HD Mini2-Forum, cause also to me Shoutcast is (was!) one of the major features. Am thinking about contacting bugtracker@acryan.com with all needed details as mentioned in this forums opening message.
Yes, I also have this problem wherein Shoutcast is giving the same error even after downgrading to previous version including the firmwares on older SDK. Playon Team - Waiting for your reverts !!!
We did not change anything on ShoutCast, are you passing the audio signal to amplifier? if you are, please set the settings to lpcm and try again.

A request I already made on the previous Beta: Would it be possible to also display the Folder.jpg file as album cover in the audio playback window and not just the ID3-tag embedded cover picture?
Its a great improvement that the ID3-Tag info of an mp3 is now displayed in the screensaver, thanks for that! The most awesome thing would be if the album cover would be displayed in the screensaver instead of the PlayON logo.
Cheers,
Scuppa

You can disregard the warning. Notwithstanding the warning, I have never found a fault in my hard disk or the USB stick that were attached to my Mini. BUT, shut down the Mini before you power down the hard disk and disconnect it.

Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73200_v7.4.x.r5440
Well I ran through the above last night - did them all in 'safe' mode. Box was working fine - turned it off/on over a period of a couple of hours - all fine. Left it turned off over night - when I turned it on this morning the 'Unknown hardware' error was back. Pulled the power plug out for a few seconds and it boots up fine - this is how it has been ever since I moved from the 7.0.21r4107 software a week ago so the later v3 and v4 software is the cause of the problem. From memory its now around 2 years old - the vendor is unlikely to replace it for me. I will have to live with it I guess. Still seems like a software fault to me..... Pity the programmer didnt display what hardware the program thought it had found!

Thanks a lot for you reply.... I have copied few files (each around 1GB) from PC to Mini via WiFi and no probs.

Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73200_v7.4.x.r5440
Looks like I found the cause to the problem with the subs I mentioned earlier.
Someone mentioned it has to be the same name as the video file, which in the past, it never had to be so. I tested and that is the case. However, please note that I require multi-lingual subs, which I need to switch to the other whenever necessary.
In the past, I used xxx.eng.srt for English, and xxx.chs.srt for Chinese Simplified. Now I can't, since any other name I use, will not be found. This is a real hassle if I need to connect to my PC to rename the SRT to the one I need to use. Please do something about it.
Secondly, I notice the JPG images I placed in the same folder as the video file, is being displayed when I'm in that folder accessed through File Manager menu. Both the video file and JPG image will be displayed identically. I can't differentiate which is which, making video selection another hassle. Please do not display JPGs in the Movie menu, just like SRTs also not shown which is preferred.
Lastly, please still look into whether the pressing of buttons on the remote control could just jump once to the next during menu navigation/selection. For example, the first menu is Movie, however, pressing the Down button once, it went down twice instead to Photo instead of Music. This occurs frequently, but I'm not sure if any others face the same issue as me. I didn't have such issue prior to firmware r4585.
Thank you.
