Please help me, i'm not so used in upgrading firmwares.
I've currently 7.0.21.r4312, can i upgrade to 7.3.6.r4824 directly?
And if not, what i've to do step by step?
And however, my actual 4312 firmware works very well, this new 4824 version is better?

After some testing:

- Today no subtitle <i></i> tags issue GOOD!
- Tested some mkv's 720p , bringing up menu results in no video or audio problems GOOD!
Perhaps the other user had to defragment the hard disk?
- No unknown hardware error (I' ve the old board) GOOD!
- Had default setting cut left and right edges (just fex pixlels anyway ..had to do zoom fit)
Entered setup -> video system-> set to hdmi auto
setup->screen size->adjust red rectangle
After this no more problems so.. GOOD!

VERDICT: POSITIVE!!!!

Hello! As said by Harro you have first to upgrade to 3582. This by system update in setup menu.

Personally i've unplugged my external hard disk to be sure. During loading Mini had to reboot twice.
After this i've turned it on and off some times, walked through menu a bit, played some files, turned off and unplugged power ... to be sure it all *reached a balance of nature!!*

Last step is to load this firmware by system update in setup menu.

I upgrade directly from r4312 to r4824

Hi, got a big problem after updating tonight:

1. Upgrade from "PV73200_v7.0.21.r4107_European" => "PV73200_v7.3.6.r3582_European" => OK
2. Testing v7.3.6.r3582 => OK
3. Upgrade from "PV73200_v7.3.6.r3582_European" => "PV73200_v7.3.6.r4824_European"
=> Message "Install complete"
=> Automatic reboot
=> See AC Ryan Logo in 576p on my SonyHD for a few seconds
=> Screen gets black and POHD must be hard resetted (can repeat that several times, no progress) !!!

4. Downgrad from "PV73200_v7.3.6.r4824_European" => "PV73200_v7.0.21.r4107_European" because i would like to have a running POHD
=> Message "Install complete"
=> Automatic reboot
=> See AC Ryan Logo in 576p on my SonyHD on and on an on... POHD must be hard resetted (can repeat that several times, no progress) !!!

Any help please. I want my running POHD back!!!

Have you tried to press "tvsys" button some times on your remote? Or using an AVcable instead of the hdmi cable to your Sony tv during upgrade?

Mmm firmware feels better then previous version.

I still have problems with Dolby DTS HD passthrough to my denon AVR-2910 via HDMI :S...

Tried it with Toto Blu-ray disc and the 48 gb MKV of Avatar. Both say when I push the info button "Audio DTS HD" .

My receivers just keep blinking that he find something of a DTS signal, but no sound :S.

Normal dolby digital seems to work fine. Only problem is when I skip to a next number it cost 5 or more seconds to get the dolby sound back.

Edit: Reboot is doing the trick! First time the blue " HD AUDIO" is shining on my receiver . Stil a problem and that's the speed of the USB connection with harddrive is not fast enough .

while this occurs and the usb thumbdrive with the install.img is still in the player,
keep pressing the powerbutton
on the unit for about 30 seconds then release it,
if all is well the firmware will be reloaded.

I installed the new FW and it works perfect so far. I can now play stuffs from my HFS+ hdd. Yea.. Thanks AC Ryan People for not forgeting old customer.
