 [Release Candidate] ACR-PV73200 v7.3.x.r4824 Playon!HD Mini
Hi everyone, The problems with Windows 7 due to changes in protocols and Windows Live Essential, have not gone by unnoticed by AC Ryan Staff. Our engineering team has worked around the clock to solve the issues and most issues should be solved. In total 31 improvements have been made, including the BT and W7 fixes.
Firmwares can be downloaded here:
[b]Asian Version (with English and Asian Languages):https://mega.co.nz/#!uYFBRASD!Uzb64Fqik ... fGGP1cuNMMEuropean Version (with English and European Languages):https://mega.co.nz/#!Pd9glJ7K!MeZA1W1Za ... i6z1UPO15MHow to update this firmware:It is the same as all SDK3.X platform based firmwares require; please update your Playon!HD to r3582 before proceeding to update with this firmware. Example; from r2901, you need to first update it to r3582 before proceeding to r4368. For those, already on r4415, r4090 or r3582, you could directly update to r4368. We strongly recommend users to perform System Update instead of Safe Mode Reflash. In case of problems when updating this firmware, please reflash the firmware again using Safe Mode Reflash instead. Best Regards,

Sure hope thats a typo Just read about the launch of the Esssential version and was very pleased to read about the planned GUI 2.0 conversion to the mini! Let me try this one in the meantime, had to tweak some settings to be able to xs smb shares in win 7. This one might do the trick a litlle bit better.. I'll sign off guys, very good job on the devolpment of the product!

The main persistent issues are: - still blocking HDMI CEC so must use component video and optic audio - no music audio at all on optic so I can't listen to any music Thanks for updates, really looking forward to UI 2.0 on SDK 4.0 (and hoping it solves the other issues)

The optic audio/SPDIF issue is not resolved or mentioned in the changelog so it's still there. We can't fix this without the help of realtek and a new SDK. This has been mentioned before as well. You have to switch between audio output settings: Passthrough/LPCM Multi/Dual channel when you go from several channel mode to 2c mode if you stick with SDK 3.0. If you want to get rid of this you will for now have to downgrade to a SDK 2.0 firmware like for instance r. 4312 for the Mini. This is a upgrade in a lot of other areas though if you decide to stick with SDK 3.0 -> Check changelog. We wanted to provide this in particular for the W7/BT issues. SDK 4.0/GUI2.0 will come after this! Br,

Hi Chris, The CEC problem is persistent but I found a workround on these forums. I have managed to put the tiniest strip (1mm) of scotch tape on pin 13 on HDMI connector. I cut the tape in a swallowtail first. Then I used a needle to manoeuvre the slice of tape above pin 13 and stick it on pin 13 to isolate it. Re: [Release Candidate] ACR-PV73200 v7.3.x.r4824 Playon!HD Mini
Hi, I have just installed this firmware and first thing i wanted to check out was how thumbgen was running with it and i am happy to say its not crashing now and i can browse through my movies very quickly......Thanks. But i have noticed a couple of problems so far playing MKV 720/1080p....... 1. I have to zoom to "fit" option for the movie to display at the correct aspect ratio, if i dont the picture is slightly overblown. 2. Only noticed this on the 3rd film i checked - Blood and Bone.....the movie plays for a half second then it freezes, i can fast forward along a bit and it does the same thing, i have not tested anymore yet. Is there anyway to have the zoom to fit as default option as it is pretty annoying changing the setting every time i want to watch a film. Thanks.
